ISS Report on the College of Medicine
The Illinois Student Senate commissioned an ad-hoc committee to explore and discuss the proposed College of Medicine and then advise student senators. The report outlines summaries, questions and recommendations as the proposal moves forward. You can read the final report here.
It’s On Us at Illinois Continues
As the semester heats up, so will the It’s On Us campaign. We released a new public service announcements for our series and have already begun planning some new campaign strategies and events for the semester. As you can see, it’s pretty hard to hide the dust on our website. That’s why we’re searching for a creative, determined, and innovative student to become our Webmaster. Teaching Excellence Awards
There are some professors and teaching assistants that go above and beyond in the classroom and provide Illinois students with an exceptional education. The ISS searches for these instructors to recognize and thank them with a Teaching Excellence Award during a formal ceremony in the spring. Students may now nominate their instructors for the awards here or read more information here.
Applications for Senator Vacancies Remain Open
The Eleventh Assembly still has Student Senator vacancies. Students who are interested in becoming a Senator should check the voting units and vacancy list to see if they are eligible to apply for a vacancy. The Committee on Internal Affairs reviews all applications for a vacancy and then appoints them on a rolling basis. Look at Get Involved to apply now.
